All it takes is a willingness to Sow a Seed to make an impactful difference.
Our GISI approach seeks to connect Diaspora located on the continent with those looking to support their initiatives. “GISI” stands for Go in to Sow in. Why? We’ve featured this approach to partnership and collaborations with other like-minded Diaspora who have an interest in exploring their continental roots and for business expansion. Many of those initiatives have to do with those that have ancestral ties to the land and for whose philanthropic tendencies now extend to include support for initiatives and seeding to projects, causes and issues important to those looking to partner.
In recent years, many Diaspora have been making the return to the continent as a pilgrimage or sojourn to re-link their identities back to their origins. In recent years, The Year of Return in 2019, attracted thousands of Diaspora from all over the world back to the continent. To date, many more have made the pilgrimage back to further explore business expansion from a scholarly works perspective and for cultural immersion. Black Diaspora representation is ever-present on the continent with many having expanded their businesses helping to bridge that gap.
We've come across a few Diaspora trying to make a difference. As they're reconnecting with the Continent, they've also taken initiative to invest in meaningful ways. Here's just a few we were glad to come across and sow in.

This husband and wife team touched ground in Ghana in January of 2021. In a leap of faith, Mikyael and Keziyah departed the U.S. to join the Asebu Pan-African Village District. Both hit the ground running with the first of many investments under their NGO, Shalum Disciples.
The most recent of their initiatives was to commit to the development of the Ohiaba Village Community’s children’s academy. Please take a moment to check out what’s happening at Ohiaba Village in Ghana. Genealogical search and recovery missions are not for the faint of heart! Yes, it takes a lot of grit and determination to retrace the steps of one’s ancestral lineage. However, when done with the right people, intentions and within supportive environments, the journey can truly be rewarding! Prince Ambassador Delaure Delwanda, together with his wife Queen Mother Florence, has provided a beacon of hope for DNA-tested Cameroonian-descendants who share an interest in learning more about their Tikar-Bamileke ancestry. Dating back to their first trip excursion in 2015, this husband and wife team has worked tirelessly to cultivate and develop community initiatives on the Continent. Since that time, the Prince Ambassador has reconnected descendants of Tikar-Bamileke ancestry on several trips to Cameroon. Known as the Festival of the returned, they have not only supported these re-connections but facilitated cultural enrichment projects to keep returnees connected to the land, and their Tikar-Bamileke families through philanthropic projects.
We've come up with a unique experience that tailors your genealogical research into a dual-purpose business and cultural experience!
